Our community participation service for NDIS participants is designed to help individuals with disabilities become involved in their local communities, develop new skills and interests, build friendships and connections, and improve their overall quality of life. We strive to provide a person-centred approach to community participation, ensuring that each individual’s unique needs, preferences, and goals are met.
The service is provided by our experienced and qualified support workers who have a deep understanding of disability support and community engagement. They work collaboratively with participants, their families, carers, and community organisations to identify opportunities for engagement, create individualised plans, and provide support and guidance throughout the process.
We offer a wide range of community participation activities and programs that cater to all interests, abilities, and ages. These can include volunteer work, recreational and leisure activities, arts and crafts classes, social events, sports and fitness programs, and educational courses. Our support workers also assist participants with transport, communication, and accessibility needs, ensuring that they can fully participate in all activities of their choice.
Our community participation service is not only about having fun and making new connections, but it also helps participants to develop important life skills, such as communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork. These skills can assist them in becoming more independent, confident, and resilient, and also improve their chances of finding employment or further education opportunities in the future.
